My name is Lee Armitstead. I have a Bachelor of Computer Systems and 3 years of freelance web design and development skills.
I am a passionate problem solver and enjoy both the technical and creative sides of my work.
I believe cross-browser functionality and responsive design are the way forward.

Barnes, Catmur & Friends Dentsu
For the past two years I have worked at the advertising agency BC&F Dentsu.

Harvey Norman New Zealand
I have worked for Harvey Norman New Zealand. Where it was my role was to standardize the eCommerce images for the Bedding and Furniture departments. I saving out over 600 images to the correct size, colour matching and the right file size. From there I uploaded them to the live website backend.
When the cats Away
In 2012 I designed and developed a website for a cattery in Napier. The site was originally coded from scratch then remade in WordPress. The site has a unique look and has been through 3 series of upgrades.

Piha SLSC
As a long time lifeguard at Piha surf life saving club I volunteered my time to be the Webmaster for the club’s website.

Evolution Web Design and Development
After studying, a friend and myself started a partnership to design and develop websites for small to medium sizes businesses. This was a good experience that helped me understand the many parts that go into creating websites for clients.

Using Adobe Illustrator I designed custom business cards for Evolution Web Design to match the websites layout.

While traveling in Canada I worked on 2 restaurants websites.

Elevation Village Spa
Elevation village spa is a health spa located in British Columbia, Canada. I upgraded their existing Facebook page and created their website.

Content creation
Band photos
While traveling in California I took a series of photos for the band Cali Conscious. They now use these on their website and Facebook page. I edited the photos in Photoshop and saved them in a suitable file size ready for use.
In my spare time I enjoy using my DSLR camera.
Photos I took at the top of a mountain in Canada received positive feedback from the local community with 531 likes, 24 comments and 4 shares.
Another photo I took at a NZ skateboard competition was used for the next years poster.
